Fiction and stuff

It was midnight. Jess was walking down the stairs. She thought she heard something coming from downstairs. It's always better to check these things out. As she approached the kitchen she grew more and more anxious. She was usually calm, but this time something bothered her. It wasn't usual stuff. She didn't have to worry about anything in particular at that time. What was bothering her then? She opened the door. BAM. It was over. Or might I say: SHE was over. Who knows at this point. What the heck was that, she thought. Is someone there? No answer. A brown cat jumped off the kitchen table and ran out of the kitchen knocking over most of the cutlery and pots. Now this is interesting, she thought. I don't even have a cat! Poor little thing might have been scared by that weird noise. Kitten, come here! Kitty, kitty, come, come! Why is she ignoring me? KITTY! SHOO! Nothing happened. Maybe she's just way too scared. Suddenly the cat settled down and looked into Jess' eyes. It started to meow. Hhm interesting. Why is she looking at me now? Maybe she just wants to eat something. I should look for some feed. Jess started searching through the kitchen cabinets but ended up finding nothing. Then she opened the fridge. There was only a small peice of cheese in there. What the hell? I remember filling up the fridge just yesterday. That weird noise could have been a thief then. But why would a thief steel food from me? This whole thing is starting to become very uncomfortable. Maybe I should just call someone. Oh, but before that: come here kitty, here's some cheese for ya. Eat up. Come on. Why isn't she lsiteneing. Is she deaf or what? Oh well I will just leave it there on the floor. Now let's find my cellphone. Moments later she was in her bedroom upstairs. She found her phone under the bed. The phone was switched off. Why do I always have to switch this on and off? ARGH. She started punching in her PIN code but it was denied. This happened again. And again, till the phone got blocked. I don't understand, I surely know my PIN code. I'm starting to freak out. To the land-line. I'm calling someone A.S.A.P. As she was approching the telephone she started to rack her brain. Who should I call? Why can't I remember any phone numbers? Please God let this be just a dream. She started ripping through the telephone book page by page. None of the names seemed familiar. But this was surely her contact list. It had her name on it. JESS. She picked a random number: James Smith. It'll do she thought. She began dialing the number. One ring... Two... Three... A man answered: Hello! Anyone there? HEELLOO! Is anyone there? No answer...
